| Usually 3-5 years seems to be the average. Belts stretch with time. A belts worst enemy is being idle. Run the turntable occasionally if you don't play records regularly. Also, check for signs of slow starting. This is usually caused by belt slip (the result of stretching). A belt stretched >5% over its new length should be replaced. |
